North East Heights: Covenant Schools Del Norte

7120 Wyoming Blvd. NE Suite 19 A Albuquerque, NM 87109 Located in the northeast corner of the Del Norte Shopping Center on the corner of San Antonio and Harper. The facility is a 8,543 square foot state of the art preschool. The school is divided into eight classrooms to serve children six

weeks to pre-kindergarten five year olds, in developmentally age appropriate, instructional programs. Through our custom security features and our in-house C.A.R.E program we provide a safe and very clean environment. Your child will enjoy our private, covered and stimulating outdoor playground featuring alarm access protection and a wonderful view of the Sandia Mountains.

The curriculum we use is a whole language, phonic based program that includes listening skills, recognition of name, sound and picture for short and long vowels and consonants. Language development will include color words, shapes, animals, transportation, countries, community helpers, health, safety, manners, and science. Poetry and finger plays committed to memory enhance the children’s language skill. Through the use of Reading Circles, Preschool Beginners and Preschool Advanced classrooms are able to take advantage of specifically hired staff to receive daily small group and even individual phonics instruction.

The curriculum also includes simple counting, number concepts, and numbers largest to smallest, before and after, and simple addition facts.

Music and computer literacy enhances our instructional program. Each classroom is equipped for daily musical experiences and each of our Preschool Beginners and Preschool Advanced classrooms are further equipped with 2 fully operational computers solely for guided student use.

Our character development program is based on the sound teachings of the Bible, which is taught through story lessons, hymns, choruses, and memory verse.

We have a full service kitchen, where deliciously fresh breakfast, lunch and two snacks are prepared and served daily. All meals are included in tuition.

Our hours of operation are 6:30am-6:00pm Monday through Friday. We are opened year round with the exception of holidays.
