North East Heights: Director's Bio

Our excellent Director at Covenant Schools Del Norte has been in the childcare industry for over 25 years. Since 1975 she has consistently devoted her professional career to the development of young children.

She studied Early Education further obtaining Teacher Endorsement K-5, a Child Development Credential (CDA) and National Administrators Credential (NAC). She has served on the New Mexico Child Care Association Board for 9 years as Government Parliamentarian, Conference Committee, and Secretary and currently serves as Board Treasurer.

Before coming to us, she worked for 12 years at the Bright Beginnings Child Development Centers in Albuquerque, New Mexico, serving the last ten as Director of Preschool and Region Manager for seven centers. In this position, she was responsible for the hiring, training and supervision of over 25 employees and Directors, the evaluation of teachers, all financial accountability and budgetary concerns of the center and the coordination of State programs.

Her strong Christian background and beliefs, coupled with her personal and professional experience with children of all ages, have allowed her to develop excellent skills in decision-making and follow-through, and polished her charismatic personality with integrity, sincerity and a genuine concern for the children under her care and tutelage. Her proven people skills have enabled her to work successfully within the community and State to guide the Center toward achieving our goal of laying a strong foundation for our children.
