CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL - EARLY LEARNING BEGINNER CLASS

Preschool Program

GROW WITH OUR PRESCHOOL PROGRAM BEGINNER’S CLASS!

The significance of enrolling in a certified early learning beginner class cannot be overstated, especially considering that the majority of American children under six years old are cared for outside the home while their parents are at work. While parents work, most American children under six years old participate in care outside the home. Many children will spend more than 10,000 hours in a child development center, with most of that time being awake. A childcare facility must be designed to provide safe, stimulating environments essential for nurturing the healthy development of children.

Childcare development centers should emphasize child growth and development. Covenant Schools provides the highest quality of care to accommodate a range of play and organized learning. We serve the needs of adult staff and parents while facilitating staff-child relationships.

WHAT HAPPENS AT PRESCHOOL?

Your child begins by mastering the vowels and consonants with their sounds through enjoyable classroom teaching, and after that, forming blends and reading simple words comes naturally with the foundation of our phonics-based curriculum.

Children learn to recognize and understand the concepts of math. By the end of the year, they will be able to count from 1 through 100, recognize 1 through 20, distinguish which numbers come before or after, and answer simple combinations.

Children will be introduced to computer literacy with fun programs on language, math, and phonics. Our preschool programs have plenty of variety to engage every child.

MISSION STATEMENT

TO PROVIDE AN EXCEPTIONAL EDUCATION IN A SAFE AND NURTURING ENVIRONMENT WHERE CHILDREN CAN GROW IN THE CHRISTIAN FAITH

Music is a fun and very enjoyable part of the day. Along with learning new songs, records, and cassette tapes, children will also be introduced to various musical instruments!

Poetry and fingerplays are used to teach basic literacy skills and aid in developing fine motor skills. Teachers help children listen to rhyming words and help them let the words draw a picture in their minds.

We introduce children to Spanish and Sign Language in a curriculum with songs, numbers, words, and colors. Sign language is used throughout the course of the day.

The children will make poems, and the children’s rhymes come alive as they are acted out with simple props, costumes, and fingerplay.

During Art, the children enjoy creative art projects, which include coloring, cutting, gluing, and painting. These skills aid in the development of small-muscle coordination, creativity, and imagination.

Activity time involves a number of fun activities, including Show and Share, Circle Time, Tabletop Activities, and Play Time. Children are able to express themselves and develop their language skills.

Children also get to spend time running around and getting fresh air during outdoor playtime. Our preschool’s playground is filled with developmentally-appropriate toys and equipment so children can continue to explore and learn in a safe environment.

ABEKA – THE CHRISTIAN CURRICULUM

Preschoolers will learn to recite Psalm 23, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Ten Commandments, and participate in Bible Stories. This helps teach children Bible truths and good character principles. Our Rio Rancho and Albuquerque Christian preschools are proud to use the ABEKA-based curriculum.

The ABEKA Curriculum is based on extensive studies and research that have been evaluated for Preschool education in terms of age-appropriateness and educational standards. All of ABEKA’s textbooks are written and edited by Christian educators with experience in Christian education. The research dedicated to your children at our Christian preschool early learning beginner class is continuous, just like the ABEKA Curriculum.
